Colorado Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs, Inc. 

4 Wheel Drive Roads Grant Application 

Grants for projects related to recreational use of off-highway vehicles, (OHV’s) on lands open to the public. OHV’s include trail motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, and four-wheel drive vehicles. 

Funds are provided from the Land Use Fund of the Colorado Association of 4 Wheels Drive Clubs, Inc. (CoA4WDCI)

Applications must be received 30 days prior to the next CoA4WDCI BOD meeting or approx. 7 weeks prior to the quarterly meeting.

Project Information 


•Only CoA4WDCI member clubs in good standing are eligible to obtain a CoA4WDCILand Use grant.

•Grants awards may be up to $1000.00 per grant. Each approved grant must besatisfactorily closed out before obtaining another grant.

•Grants will be scored by the Board of Directors at their next BOD meeting and awardswill be presented at the next quarterly meeting.


Grant Application (Pages 1-6) 

Provide 10 copies of the grant application only, pages 1-4, 5A or 5B and 6. 

Page 1: Fill in the requested information on the form provided. 

Page 2: Use separate sheet(s) of paper to describe these criteria. 

Page 3: Complete the Scope of Work on the page provided. 

Page 4: Provide detailed information on your budget and how you would spend the grant money

Page 6: Complete the Grant Agreement.

COA4WDCI Grant Application

Extreme Terrrain Clean Trail Initiative


ExtremeTerrain strongly advocates for the responsible recreational use of off-road trails and is happy to launch the Clean Trail Grant Program.


This program will provide eligible groups the opportunity to apply for a grant to fund their next trail improvement related project which could range from trail clean-up, trail restoration, trail expansion, to name a few. Various Wrangler and 4x4 groups and organizations as well as publicly and privately owned off-road trails are all invited to apply for the grant.


Along with the grant, ExtremeTerrain will provide industrial strength trash bags for collection of any debris.



In order to be considered, applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Organize or belong to a Wrangler/4x4 group/club with more than 5 members
  • Own or work at a private or public off-road park
  • Organize or belong to an OHV Organization with more than 5 members


  • Proof of your affiliation with organization/club/park
  • Must provide digital photo of trail improvement project
    • Action shots of volunteers preferred!
  • Completion of application form
  • Organization's are eligible once per year up to two years
  • Sign the eligibility waiver


  • Tools needed for trail cleaning/restoration/expansion
  • Food and non-alcoholic beverage for all volunteers
  • Promotional materials used to attract volunteers
